What's the story?
Former WWE Superstar Brie Bella has spoken out for the first time since her sister Nikki Bella and John Cena announced their split last Sunday.
There was the talk of Brie reportedly being furious with Cena about the break-up, and she has finally come out with a clarification about those reports, via a story on her Instagram profile.
In case you didn’t know…
John Cena and Nikki Bella shocked the WWE Universe when they announced that they were no longer together as a couple. The couple had been together six years now and got engaged at the 'grandest stage of them all' when Cena proposed to Nikki at WrestleMania 33 after they defeated The Miz and Maryse.

The supposed reason for the break-up is reported to be the same issue that has haunted the couple in the past - John Cena not wanting to get married and not wanting to have any children, while Nikki wanted those things. However, neither of them has yet to publicly come out with any reason for their split.
The heart of the matter
As soon as the couple's split became public knowledge, all sorts of speculation and rumours started making the rounds about what exactly transpired between Cena and Nikki. One such rumour was that Nikki's twin Brie, also the wife of WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan, was supposedly furious with Cena and 'wanted to kill him'.
It turns out that this was nothing but yet another false rumour doing the rounds, as Brie took to Instagram to clarify that she didn't feel any animosity towards Cena. This is what she wrote:
"I'd never say this and I'll always love John Cena like a brother. He'll always be family. My heart is hurting for he and my sister".
Below is a screen-grab of Bella's post:
What's next?
John Cena's next appearance will be at the Greatest Royal Rumble event where he will take on Triple H. The Bella twins were last seen in the ring during the Women's Royal Rumble match, however, Brie was present ring-side during her husband's first match after being medically cleared.
