What's the story?
Six-time WWE Raw World Champion Chris Jericho recently made an appearance on Taz's podcast called The Taz Show.
During his interview with Taz, Jericho revealed that he was originally scheduled to win the WWE Universal Title earlier this year, from his former tag team partner Kevin Owens.
In case you didn't know...
Both Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens were together, a part of one of the most standout tag teams in recent WWE history called the JeriKO.

Both Jericho and Owens formed their partnership back in 2016 and had one of the funniest and entertaining runs together as a team.
However, the two men finally split up on-screen earlier in 2017, when Owens savagely attacked Jericho and put him through a flat-screen TV.
Owens, who was the Universal Champion at the time would go on and lose his title to Goldberg at this year's Fastlane PPV, following outside interference from Jericho.
The heart of the matter
Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens faced off against each other at this year's Wrestlemania in an outstanding match, that saw Owens defeat Jericho to win the WWE US Title from "The Ayatollah Rock 'n' Rolla".
However, during his podcast chat with Taz; Jericho revealed that the original Wrestlemania 33 plan for him was to win the WWE Universal Championship off Owens and culminate his feud against "The Prizefighter" in Orlando, Florida, earlier this year.
Jericho also added that following his Universal Title win he was supposed to drop the belt to Brock Lesnar at the very next pay-per-view.
What's next?
With Chris Jericho and Fozzy announcing their next tour dates, it has now been confirmed that Jericho will now miss next year's Wrestlemania 34-- his first omission from "The Grandest Stage of Them All" since 2015.
However, the former WWE US Champion will be looking forward to adding another championship to his illusive list of accomplishments as he makes his mega return to NJPW and takes on Bullet Club leader Kenny Omega for the IWGP US Championship on January 4, 2018.
Author's Take
Personally, I think that Jericho and Owens' feud should've culminated at Wrestlemania 33 with the two men facing off against each other with the Universal Title on the line.
