If all of Chris Jericho’s exploits, in the ring and outside, were quantified, the explanation behind them would not be quantifiable. What drives a man who has one of the largest trophy rooms amongst WWE Superstars, a best-selling book, movies and a band that he tours with?
It is difficult to say which is greater – the debt the WWE owes this man or the fervor of his loyalty. Jericho has probably put over the most Superstars in recent memory, something that the ‘top of the crop’ is loath to do, traditionally.
The Ayatollah of RocknRolla put over AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose in his current run, one of his longer guest appearances in the WWE. But it doesn’t seem like any more Superstars will be able to boast of throwing down with the six-time World Champion, at least not in the immediate future. Jericho tweeted this today:
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Jericho’s current run began in July last year(not considering a 3-month gap between October 2015 and January 2016) when he defeated Neville at the Beast in the East special. He then teamed with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose against the Wyatt Family at Night of Champions, before unsuccessfully challenging Kevin Owens for the Intercontinental Championship at a live event in Madison Square Garden in October.
