WWE announcer Corey Graves' comments on the latest episode of SmackDown Live were taken by many as a shot at AEW World Champion Chris Jericho, in regards to his title belt recently being stolen. Graves has now posted a tweet, addressing the same and clarifying that it wasn't a 'shot', but a friendly joke.
Jericho's belt gets stolen
At AEW All Out, former WWE Superstar Chris Jericho defeated Hangman Page to become the first-ever AEW World Champion. Unfortunately, he didn't get to hold it for long. Recently, news broke out stating that Chris Jericho's AEW World title belt was stolen while he was eating dinner inside a Longhorn Steakhouse. He realized that the belt was missing when the limo driver picked him up from the restaurant.
On last night's episode of SmackDown Live, Bo Dallas rolled up Drake Maverick to win the WWE 24/7 title. He didn't get to keep it for long though, as Maverick soon pinned him to win back the belt. Graves' comments on Maverick's title win indicated that he was taking a subtle shot at Jericho's AEW World title being stolen. Here's what Graves said:
I’m sure he’ll celebrate and take a limousine to a chain restaurant.

Graves also said that they would know when he takes a "shot" at anyone. Here's Graves' reply:
As per latest reports, Jericho's belt has been recovered.
