WWE News: Daniel Bryan confirms that Sami Zayn and Cesaro want to join SmackDown Live

Daniel Bryan reveals that two RAW superstars want to join SmackDown Live

Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon made an appearance on Monday Night RAW to hype up the upcoming Survivor Series pay per view. The duo spent ample time in the RAW locker room and interacted with the superstars on Monday Night RAW.

Later the duo was present at the premiere of the WWE Network Special 'State of the WWE Universe' to discuss the changes of SmackDown going over RAW on Sunday. Both Bryan and Shane were high on adrenaline after the brawl earlier that night on Monday Night RAW.

Bryan while commenting on the sorry state of affairs in the Red brand, revealed that there were some Superstars who were looking for opportunities to join the SmackDown Live roster. Bryan claimed that while he was backstage, Sami Zayn and Cesaro expressed their interest in joining the Blue brand.

Zayn is set to lace his boots for The Intercontinental Championship at Survivor Series, which incidentally the Miz won from Ziggler last night on SmackDown. If Zayn wins the match, he will bring the prestigious Intercontinental title back to RAW.

Zayn is one of those superstars that has been lost in the shuffle after the brand split. Despite putting up some Match of the Year contenders against Shinsuke Nakamura and Kevin Owens, Zayn hasn’t really reached his true potential on Monday Night RAW.

On the other hand, the second wrestler who wants to jump ship, Cesaro, has been unhappy with the brand split since day one. Despite being over with the crowd and working an amazing Best of Seven series with Sheamus, he has been stuck in the mid-card for what seems like an eternity.

The unlikely tag team of Sheamus and Cesaro took on the New Day for the Tag titles but were unable to capture the gold. In fact, Bryan and Cesaro had a friendly exchange on Twitter a couple of months ago regarding Cesaro’s contract with Monday Night RAW.

The Miz would be a likely trade for either Zayn or Cesaro. Bryan and Shane could be planning a big heist here, and if Zayn does beat Miz for the Intercontinental Championship, signing Zayn on SmackDown would mean that the belt stays on with the blue brand.

After the brand split, there haven’t been too many trades between the two brands in terms of superstars, with the exception of Jack Swagger. However, it looks like Survivor Series could open some doors for trade between the two brands.
