What's the story?
WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler sat down with the folks over at Saturday Night's Main Event Podcast to speak about some interesting topics, including his time away from the WWE, creative input on his storylines, character, and a lot more.

He attacked WWE Champion Kofi Kingston and began a feud over jealousy of Kofi's rise to the top and his big WrestleMania push that saw Kingston realize his 11-year dream of becoming the WWE Champion.
Kofi would successfully defend the WWE Championship against Ziggler at Super ShowDown and Stomping Grounds, respectively. The two would have one more match on a recent episode of SmackDown Live, where Kofi would triumph over Ziggler in a 2-out-of-3 Falls match.
The heart of the matter
Ziggler sat down with SNME Podcast's Jason Agnew to talk about his WWE comeback.
"I asked for a specific time away to be off of television, because I thought my character had kind of done the same thing over and over, and maybe lost eight or nine and a half times out of 10, and we needed to get something fresh and different with it, so I asked for 90 days to go away."
Regarding his recent feud with Kofi and creative input on the storyline, Ziggler said:
"That's why I still had to come back as me, but also with the connotation of being genuinely jealous in real life of Kofi Kingston going to WrestleMania and winning the WWE title. So to that extent, I got to say 'hey I hate this guy, and I want to take him down.' The germ of that idea was from me."
