In this week's latest edition of E&C's Pod of Awesomeness, Edge & Christian were reading out a series of questions posted by fans on social media. One question put forward by a fan was what were the factors that they considered when they chose their own entrance music and whether they had the option of choosing at all.
Music that makes them "amped-up"
It's no secret that the Rated-R Superstar has always been a lifelong fan of rock n' roll & alternative music and he would obviously want to come out to some fist-pumping music while walking down the aisle.
However, he mentioned that he only had a say over his entrance music only when he realized that he didn't like his initial entrance themes.
I did not like my initial entrance music and I realized pretty quickly that okay, I'm gonna have to try and take this by the reins if I want something that I actually like and feel when I walk to the ring because I want to feel it, you know? And get amped-up from it.
This is one of the reasons why he came out to Rob Zombie's 'Never Gonna Stop (The Red Kroovy)' and later chose Alter Bridge's 'Metalingus' as his theme. To this day, it's his favorite entrance music because it has all the qualities that Edge needed in his entrance music.
Christian had a strange, albeit interesting choice
When asked by Edge as to what kind of music Christian favors, Captain Charisma remarked that the female version of the last music that he had is his favorite, i.e. the song 'Just Close Your Eyes' by American rock band 'Story of the Year'.
However, he had no say over the music ('At Last' by Jim Johnston) that he had when he transitioned to a singles wrestler.
Although Christian found the song annoying to listen to, he had no opinion over the decision because he was making his first move into the singles division and he was afraid that he if he expressed his hatred for the song he could have been reprimanded by the powers that be.
But, he gradually began to embrace the music when he realized that as he was a heel during that time and if he had something unlikable as a theme, the fans would hate him even more and it would solidify his character as a heel.
Edge's verdict over Christian's music
The WWE Hall of Famer agreed with everything that Christian had to say and even mentioned that the first time when he heard the particular music, he became a fan of it citing that the music was annoying but also awesome because it had a 'Queen' like vibe to it.
