We have breaking news coming out of Blackpool, England. Tonight at NXT UK Takeover: Blackpool, we saw the surprise appearance of WWE Superstar and former NXT Champion, Finn Balor.
In case you didn't know...
Before the show began, we originally had a scheduled match between Travis Banks and Jordan Devlin that was set to take place tonight at NXT UK Takeover. However, the two men were involved in a heated dispute backstage earlier this afternoon that led to an attack by Jordan Devlin on Travis Banks, resulting in Banks suffering a knee injury.

With Banks' condition in doubt, he was medically cleared by WWE officials to compete this evening. However, plans quickly changed in a hurry.
The heart of the matter
During the entrances for both Travis Banks and Jordan Devlin, Devlin jumped Travis Banks and attacked him before the bell could even ring to begin the match. With Devlin clearly unable to compete tonight, it looked as if Jordan was going to steal a victory tonight. Suddenly, Finn Balor's music hit and the crowd erupted into a thunderous roar!
Finn Balor faced Jordan Devlin tonight and defeated him with the Coup De Grace to pick up the win in a tremendous match-up.
Earlier on, we had seen new NXT UK Tag Team Champions crowned, as James Drake and Zack Gibson defeat Moustache Mountain to become the new tag team champions in a thrilling opening contest.
