What’s the story?
WWE Superstar Konnor, of The Ascension, has welcomed a baby boy into his family.
The 37-year-old SmackDown Live performer took to social media and from a local hospital in Tampa, gave fans the first look at his son Elijah:
In case you didn’t know…
Konnor, whose real name is Ryan Parmeter, alternated between performing for the WWE’s developmental territories and on the indie circuit in the mid-to-late-2000s.
However, it is only after 2014 that Konnor rose to prominence in the WWE, alongside his Ascension Tag Team partner Viktor.
The heart of the matter
Konnor and Viktor have been relegated to the role of enhancement talents on the blue brand. Regardless, the veteran performer seems to be in high spirits given the latest addition to his family, in the form of Elijah.
Here’s Konnor’s short and sweet message, attached to Elijah’s photograph:
“Happiest day of my life! #Elijah #fatherhood”
What’s next?
Konnor and Viktor presently perform for the WWE’s SmackDown brand and are an essential part of the blue brand’s highly competitive Tag Team division.
Author’s take
Konnor has always been one of the most underrated talents in the WWE, hasn’t he? The man has every single prerequisite to fit the mould of a top-tier WWE Superstar, but somehow never seems to get the desirable push from the powers that be in the WWE.
Here’s hoping we get to see Konnor and his team-mate Viktor be accorded a more important role on the WWE’s Tuesday night show, from this point moving forward.
Besides, being a new father, one would hope that the man would now go all-out in trying to push the envelope; in his attempts to ascend to the top of the food chain in the business. Congratulations to Konnor and his family! Welcome to the world, Elijah!
