WWE News: Goldberg and Brock Lesnar become a part of WWE 2K17 media event

Will they right the wrongs of Wrestlemania XX?

Amidst all the talks of Bill Goldberg confronting Brock Lesnar during SummerSlam PPV, both the stars became a part of the media event this Saturday in New York City promoting the upcoming WWE 2K17 video game.

Although both of them gave interviews and meet up with other WWE Superstars it appears that they did not confront each other during the event as reported by dailywrestlingnews.com.

Below is a photo posted from the official twitter account of WWE 2K17 in which Goldberg is seen with Aj Styles as well as a photo from the official account of Shinsuke Nakamura where he recalled his meeting with the former World Champion in 2003:

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

On the other hand, Brock Lesnar was only seen with his Advocate Paul Heyman during the whole event as seen in the photos below:

It's notable here that recent talks suggest that WWE might be planning a match between Brock Lesnar and Goldberg in the upcoming future. Rumors go as far as saying that Goldberg can cost Brock Lesnar his match against Randy Orton at SummerSlam leading to a match between the two at WrestleMania.

Goldberg has also not denied the possibility of his return. During a recent Q&A session fans started chanting please come back to which the former WCW star replied by saying he will see what he can do.

He also expressed his hate towards Lesnar during the recent WWE 2K17 press event in Germany stating that he should be on the cover of WWE 2K17 because he defeated the former WWE World heavyweight Champion during their match at WrestleMania XX.

Former WWE commentator Jim Ross also talked about the possibilities of Goldberg appearing at SummerSlam in one of his latest blog post mentioning how Goldberg is still in fighting shape and has publicly expressed that he would love to step back in the ring one more time.

What happens at SummerSlam is yet to be seen but admittedly the possibility of seeing a face-off between two of WWE's most dominant wrestlers of all time once again is no doubt a fascinating one and if WWE can pull this off correctly then it will certainly be good for business.
