Bill Goldberg, appeared on this week’s Monday Night RAW, to continue the build up to his upcoming match, against Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series. Goldberg proceeded to get involved, in a physical capacity, for the first time inside the WWE ring, since Wrestlemania XX.
He hit Rusev with his finishing move The Jackhammer and unleashed the devastating Spear on Paul Heyman. A lot of WWE fans were overjoyed to see Goldberg showcase his signature moves for the first time in over 12 years.
However, this wasn’t the first time that The Myth displayed an act of physical aggression inside a pro-wrestling ring since departing from the WWE in 2004.

Goldberg appeared at a Legends of Wrestling event, which was held at Citi Field in New York, in June of 2015. The main event of the show saw Goldberg’s old WCW nemesis, Scott Steiner, take on Rob Van Dam.
Following their bout, Goldberg entered the ring and bulldozed The Big Poppa Pump with an earth-shattering Spear. Doc Gallows, current RAW Superstar Luke Gallows, tried to get involved but was forced to eat a Jackhammer for his efforts.

The fans in attendance were delighted to see the former WCW Champion and roared at the sight of Goldberg, putting Steiner on his back with a vicious Spear. This was during the time Goldberg kept expressing his desire to wrestle one more match.
A WWE return, however, looked unlikely, because the talks regarding a potential return for Goldberg, kept falling through.
Let it be noted that this was a full six months before Goldberg was approached by the WWE2K franchise. Later, Goldberg was announced as a pre-order bonus character for the video game WWE 2K17. He eventually made his WWE return on RAW and accepted Brock Lesnar’s challenge for a match.
The two monsters are set to square off at Survivor Series on November 20th in Toronto.
