WWE News: Hardy Boyz pulled from the WWE weekend live events

Jojo
The Hardy Boyz are making the most of their comeback run at WWE

What’s the story?

We saw the Hardy Boyz return to WWE at WrestleMania 33 and since then they have been appearing on every episode of RAW as well as the live events that are held over the weekends.

Although longtime stable mates and real-life brothers Matt and Jeff Hardy have been drafted as a full-time tag team on RAW, WWE has removed them off this weekend’s live shows. The Hardys will instead be appearing on shows scheduled to take place on Friday and Saturday for House of Hardcore.

In case you didn’t know...

The Hardy Boyz are one of the most influential tag teams of the 90’s and the early 2000’s having been one of the pioneers of the Tables, Ladders and Chairs match along with fellow tag teams Edge and Christian, and The Dudley Boyz.

The heart of the matter:

The Hardy Boyz enjoyed a very successful independent career after leaving WWE and it looks like WWE is giving the two veterans the chance to finish off their final booked dates with House of Hardcore, the promotion run by former WWE legend, Tommy Dreamer.

The weekend show will cause the Hardys to miss the WWE live events planned on the same dates to WWE have removed them from the listings. The House of Hardcore show will be aired live on the streaming site, Flo Slam.

What’s next?

Longtime fans of WWE are very excited by the return of the legendary tag team while the newer fans are being treated to what made WWE great in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. The high-flying duo has just started their comeback run at WWE with a lot of momentum and it looks like they will be here for a while.

Author’s take

Fans who got seats for the weekend’s WWE events will miss The Hardy Boyz for sure but it is nice to see WWE cooperate with other promotions.
