Terry “Hulk Hogan” Bollea was awarded $115 million in his invasion of privacy lawsuit against website Gawker, that published a sex tape involving him and his friend, Bubba 'The Love Sponge' Clem's then-wife, Heather Cole.
The documents, which were released on Friday before the verdict was delivered, allegedly indicate that Clem and his ex-wife knew that she was being filmed in the sex tape. Gawker and Bubba both have claimed that the Hulkster knew that he was being taped with Heather.
A portion of the sex tape published last summer revealed Hogan making racist remarks about his daughter's African-American boyfriend. They claimed that Hogan intentionally made those comments, and he was concerned about his racist remarks being made public rather than the sexual activity.

This claim contradicts the jury’s call of $60-million in damages for emotional distress. Hogan is also to be awarded $55 Million for economic harm after Gawker published a clip of a video of him having sex.
If Gawker turn out to be successful and prove that Hogan and Heather knew that they were taped, then the $115 million will also be hampered. As noted, Gawker has already appealed against the verdict of the jury.
