What’s the story?
At WrestleMania 33, Matt and Jeff Hardy shocked the World and made their long-awaited return to the WWE to compete in the Raw tag team ladder match. The Hardy Boyz won the titles at the event.
According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jeff Hardy was in pain during the match.

In case you didn’t know...
The Hardy Boyz’ contracts with TNA recently expired and they have been working for a lot of independent promotions on their Expedition of Gold tour. They captured many Championships, most recently capturing the Ring of Honor tag team Championships.
Jeff Hardy said himself the brothers would be staying with the ROH promotion through the summer, so the return at WrestleMania 33 was unexpected.
The heart of the matter
The night before WrestleMania 33, the Hardy Boyz competed in an intense ladder match with The Young Bucks with the ROH titles on the line. There were a lot of crazy spots and Jeff Hardy went full throttle.
According to Meltzer, Jeff Hardy was beaten up during his match. They didn't go to the arena until very late. Jeff told people at the hotel he was in pain and needed some sleep.
What’s next?
The Hardy Boyz faced The Club on the most recent episode of Raw and defended their newly won Raw tag-team Championships. They are expected to now be full-time members of the Raw roster.
Author's take
The fact that Jeff Hardy was hurting certainly did not show last night at WrestleMania. He still participated in the biggest spot of the night, where he jumped off a 20-foot ladder onto Sheamus and Cesaro. He also took a mighty beating from the ladders during this match.
The match on the latest episode of Raw was far less intense and justifiably so, given the lack of rest time Jeff has had. It will be interesting to see if they maintain their Broken gimmicks on the red brand.
I don’t believe the minor injuries will have an effect on their latest WWE run.
