What’s the story?
Jeff Jarrett is reportedly being advertised for a private event in Nashville, Tennessee on December 26th.
Apparently, Jarrett—who recently checked into rehab—is being advertised for a GFW event featuring a few other notable names as well.
In case you didn’t know…
Jeff Jarrett entered a rehabilitation facility on October 25th earlier this year, and had been undergoing treatment for his addiction issues courtesy help from his wife Karen Jarrett and the WWE.
Double-J was recently discharged from the rehab facility, and returned home on December 22nd.
The heart of the matter
Given Jeff Jarrett’s GFW (Global Force Wrestling) promotion recently cutting ties with Impact Wrestling after a brief merger with the latter company, fan speculation regarding the status of GFW has been largely negative, so to speak.
Nevertheless, Jarrett is now being advertised for a GFW event which will take place at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, TN by ‘Tried and True Wrestling’—a special event presented for local Wounded Warriors, Gold Star Families, & Music City Bowl contenders the University of Kentucky & Northwestern University.
Despite the involvement of Tried and True Wrestling, the event as a whole is being advertised as a GFW show, with big names such as Rebel, Karen & Jeff Jarrett, James Storm, Jerry Lawler, Ricky Steamboat, Crimson and Jax Dane scheduled to appear at the show.
What’s next?
The Tried and True Wrestling/GFW event is set to go down at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, TN on December 26th.
Fans can witness the aforementioned stars plus many others in action at the special post-Christmas presentation in Nashville.
Author’s take
Kudos to the WWE for helping out Jeff through such a challenging time.
Addiction is no joke, and has claimed many lives since the ancient times. Here’s hoping Double-J beats the demon known as addiction…1-2-3.
