WWE News: Jim Ross advises Brock Lesnar to re-sign with the WWE

What's the story?

Wrestling Inc. is reporting on a recent interview that Jim Ross conducted with the MMA show Submission Radio where they discussed MMA fighters crossing over to the WWE and vice versa. Within the interview, they discussed whether or not JR thinks Brock Lesnar should re-sign with the WWE

In case you didn't know...

Brock Lesnar signed a deal with the WWE in 2000 and reported to the developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). He would form a tag team with current SmackDown Live WWE Superstar Shelton Benjamin known as the Minnesota Stretching Crew.

The heart of the matter...

Lesnar's contract is set to expire next April after WrestleMania, and JR was asked his opinion on if he advises Lesnar to sign another deal with the WWE, return to MMA, or something else.

JR said if he was advising Lesnar (and made sure to mention that he's not) and he wanted to leave the WWE, JR would pose the question, "leave and do what?" If he wants to retire and not do anything but hunt and take care of his sons that is perfectly fine, but as JR put it, Lesnar has a "beautiful schedule."

Lesnar makes a seven-figure salary, has a part-time schedule, and is having fun doing it. JR's advice would be what is better than what he has now? He doesn't see anything better and suggests that Lesnar should re-sign with the WWE.

What's next?

Lesnar will make an appearance on next week's edition of Monday Night Raw when it takes place from the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island. Advertised for the event is a rematch between Braun Strowman and Kane; which could potentially be Lesnar's next opponent at the Royal Rumble on January 28th.

Author's take...

JR said it all right there, he has a "beautiful schedule" and that schedule easily allows him to pursue a career in Hollywood if he wanted to (after the rumours he would be in the new Rocky movie surfaced).

As long as the business is fun for Lesnar, I would think he would want to continue doing what he does. There are still a lot of feuds out there for him to have in the WWE.
