Former WWE commentator and executive Jim Ross has blogged about the upcoming brand split and the effect it may have on NXT on his website www.jrsbarbq.com, and as usual, the veteran and highly respected member of the pro-wrestling fraternity makes a collection of astute observations.
After claiming that the brand split would eventually end up elevating the status of SmackDown from being considered as a secondary show to Raw, he also asked for fans to be patient during the transition and allow the company breathing room to execute their plans.
While stating that he prefers to still have only one WWE World Heavyweight Champion and one WWE Women’s Champion, he did agree that the US Title and Intercontinental Championship should be split among the two shows.
He also hinted at potential call-ups to the main roster from NXT in order to fill up the numbers in two full-fledged rosters, claiming that while he was a fan of the brand, he didn’t reckon it took too many bodies to keep it running successfully.
Is the WWE listening?
