Former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal was all set to square off against Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series. Unfortunately for him, the match never came to pass because he lost his championship to AJ Styles during an episode of SmackDown Live.
Styles went on to face Lesnar in a modern day classic. Mahal caught up with Wrestling Inc. and maintained a positive outlook with regard to facing 'The Beast' someday, in the future.

Shortly before Survivor Series, Jinder Mahal lost his championship to AJ Styles and was not featured on the Survivor Series card at all. Mahal maintained a positive outlook, despite the disappointing outcome.
The heart of the matter
This is what Jinder Mahal said about not being able to face 'The Beast Incarnate':
I found the day of, when we got to Manchester. To be honest, I was a little disappointed, I was looking forward to that match.
But I know that match is going to happen sometime in the future, and it is up to me to make sure that it happens. And I'm going to make sure that it happens.
Mahal would not blame anyone or anything for what did not happen. He remains optimistic that what is meant to be, will be.
He believes that there will be a match between 'The Beast Incarnate' and 'The Maharaja' down the line.
What's next?
Mahal faces AJ Styles in the main event of Clash of Champions, hoping to win the WWE Championship for the second time.
Author's take
I've interacted with Jinder Mahal, and he's just a ball of positive energy. It's great to see how much belief he has in himself.
I hope he does truly legendary things someday soon.
