John Cena will miss WWE Backlash

John Cena who has been the face of the company for well over a decade now will reportedly be taking some time off soon.

Although John Cena has repeatedly mentioned how he does not want to take time off and be a regular performer.

Reportedly ,John Cena is no longer seen as someone who can carry the company forward like he did in the past ,also the emergence of newer stars like Seth Rollins ,Dean Ambrose ,Sami Zayn ,Kevin Owens and their growing popularity adds to it.

According to a report from RingSideNews.com, John Cena hosting duties for “American Grit” on Fox will be taking him away from WWE and is rumoured not to be performing at WWE Smackdown PPV Backlash in September.

Last year this time around John Cena as US Champion was involved in the feud with Russev,Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins and the Monday Night Open Challenge for US Title which has quite helpful in restoring the pride of US title.

But he dropped the title to returning Alberto Del Rio to take time off for shooting for the first season of American Grit. Upon his return ,he suffered a severe shoulder injury which sidelined him for 5 months.

Now that he has returned he is involved in a highly entertaining feud with AJ Styles,The scoreline for AJ-Cena battle as of now is 1-1 .With their Summerslam match being the last ,John Cena could indeed take some time away.

He could miss lots of live events and few PPV here and there.

As of writing, no schedule has been released for shooting. But with John Cena being on WWE 2nd best show behind Monday Night Raw and his limited schedule moving forward signs are shimmering and clear about Cena's future.

Now that means WWE stars like AJ Styles ,Dean Ambrose ,Bray Wyatt ,Dolph Ziggler will have to put their hands up. Clearly ,WWE’s future looks bright .
