WWE News: John Cena's return date revealed

The Champ is all set to return at Survivor Series.

The leader of “Cenation” is expected to be back real soon. According to allwrestlingnews.com, Cena is expected to go on a hiatus after the October 15th live event at Arizona, Phoenix.

Cena is reportedly featured to be a part of Survivor Series on November 20th, not in a title match, but in the traditional 5-on-5 RAW vs. SmackDown elimination matches.

Apart from that, Cena is also scheduled to work at Madison Square Garden for an event at the end of December, which probably will be the time Cena resumes his full-time WWE schedule. He is expected to continue his quest for the elusive 16th World Title from AJ Styles.

Cena’s last appearance was at No Mercy where he battled Dean Ambrose and AJ Styles for the WWE Championship, he was also a part of a dark match post SmackDown Live! teaming up with Nikki Bella and Dolph Ziggler against Carmella, The Miz and Baron Corbin in a winning effort.

Cena is taking a hiatus from WWE to complete the filming of the second season of his show “The American Grit”, where he plays the host. He had taken a hiatus last year from mid- October to December after “Hell In A Cell” to shoot the first season of the show.

Cena is rumoured to stay on after December and be an integral part at Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania 33, where he is rumoured to face “The Phenom” Undertaker in a dream match.

It is also rumoured that Cena might face AJ Styles at the TLC PPV on December 4, 2016 in Dallas, Texas, with WWE playing the idea of Cena being unable to defeat Styles.

With his return at Survivor Series, Team Smackdown Live! will get a huge boost in terms of star power over Team RAW.

Cena was last a part of a Survivor Series Team in 2014 where he alongside Dolph Ziggler, Big Show, Erick Rowan and Ryback as part of Team Cena defeated Team Authority comprising of Seth Rollins, Rusev, Kane, Mark Henry and Luke Harper.

Cena’s absence from TV has relatively increased over the years, as he also focuses on interests apart from wrestling. After signing a new deal with Leftfield Entertainment this trend might continue.

With the Champ drifting into the last phase of his illustrious career, he might want to make most of hhis chances before he hangs up his boots.
