What's the story?
Kalisto is a former WWE Cruiserweight Champion who deserves some amount of respect. But someone at the SmackDown Live tapings in New Jersey didn't feel like they wanted to be very respectful to the former Lucha Dragon.
While Kalisto was outside the ring selling his injuries on 205 Live, he was struck in the face by a flying water bottle in a needless and atrocious action.

In case you didn't know...
Kalisto and Gran Metalik defeated The Brian Kendrick and Gentleman Jack Gallagher this week on 205 Live but it was by disqualification. After Kalisto hit the Salida del Sol on Gallagher he made the pin and it looked like he had the win in the bag.
However, Brian Kendrick jumped in and started putting the boots on the former NXT Tag Team Champion until the referee called for the bell.
The heart of the matter
After Kendrick laid down a brutal beatdown to Kalisto and smashed Gran Metalik's knee on the steel ring steps, the heels left in very confident fashion. They had made the point that it wasn't about winning to them because they just wanted to do some damage.
But one person in the crowd decided to be a real heel and toss a water bottle at Kalisto. It nailed him right in the face just as the camera happened to cut to him selling his injuries on the floor. It was a pretty awful act from that person in attendance that caught Kalisto totally off-guard and it certainly didn't feel good either.
What's next?
There is a reason why WWE makes some venues put all beverages in cups at the concession stands. Let's hope this doesn't become a trend at live shows or WWE might have to take drastic measures to ensure the safety of their Superstars.
Author's take
I didn't call this person a fan because if he was a real fan then they wouldn't have done something like this.
Pro wrestlers put their bodies on the line for the entertainment of the fans and this kind of act is inexcusable because they agree to a lot as WWE Superstars, but nobody signs up to have water bottles randomly hurled at their face.
