WWE News: Kevin Owens injured at live event?

Owens was injured in a match against Zayn at a WWE live event

It appears as though the second wave of the injury plague is inflicting itself upon the WWE. Barely a couple of weeks after fans’ hopes were raised by the news of John Cena, Seth Rollins, Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt’s returns, they’ve been staggered/

We reported last week that number one contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship AJ Styles was removed from live events because of some persistent injuries. This week, it might be another title contender who’s been drawn short straw, in an apparently graver manner.

Kevin Owens faced Sami Zayn in a match at a WWE live event in Colombia, South Carolina, which the latter won after connecting the Blue Thunder Bomb. Right after the pinfall, referee Charles Robinson checked on Owens and immediately made the ‘X’ gesture, according to wrestlinginc.com. Owens was then supported to the backstage area.

In eerily similar to the FInal Destination movies, Styles was removed from the very same event to rest his back so that the main event of Extreme Rules would remain unharmed; but the crosshairs seemed to have found the former Intercontinental Champion.

The WWE or other sources are yet to confirm reports, but any headway on the issue will you.
