Ibushi stated he’s considering doing “spot” shows with WWE, occasionally dropping in for a quick run before moving on to his next territory. Apparently, he revealed that his goal is to become the most famous wrestler in the world, and to do so, he’ll have to travel a lot around the world. As for his current plans, Ibushi will be heading back to Japan once his WWE stint wraps in Florida next month.
Ibushi has been one of the front-runners to win the tournament, however, it's high unlikely that WWE will give a win to a guy who don't have a contract with the company. Now, Gran Metalik who is rumoured to have signed a new contract with WWE is a favourite to win the CWC tournament.
According to PWInsider, WWE has started reaching out to talents for the purpose of signing them to the division. Although Ibushi will not a sign a contract with WWE, he is scheduled to take part at NXT Takeover in Brooklyn in build up to the Summer Slam.
