WWE News: Kurt Angle comments on CM Punk returning to WWE

In a recent Facebook Q&A session, Kurt Angle weighed in on the possibility of CM Punk returning to the WWE.

On that note, Angle asserted that anything is possible and he does feel Punk may return to the WWE someday.

In case you didn’t know…

CM Punk is widely regarded as one of the best professional wrestling performers of all time.

The Voice of the Voiceless had a long and successful run in the WWE before his highly-publicized fallout with the promotion and retirement from the sport in 2014.

The heart of the matter

Although CM Punk and Kurt Angle’s time at the top of WWE came in different phases, the latter is no stranger to the former WWE Superstar’s work in the professional wrestling ring, as are the vast majority of fans and industry experts, which leads many to hope that Punk has one last run in the WWE in the near future.

Speaking of which, Angle was probed as to whether he believes if Punk would return to the WWE, to which the Olympic gold medalist replied:

“Anything is possible. I think so.”

What’s next?

CM Punk presently competes for the UFC and intends to pursue a career in the sport of MMA.

On the other hand, Kurt Angle serves as the on-screen General Manager for the WWE’s RAW brand.

Author’s take

CM Punk will return to the sport of professional wrestling sometime in the future and may even appear in the WWE.

The fact that Bret Hart — a man who was publicly screwed out of the WWF Championship by Vince McMahon — came back and worked with the WWE suggests that anything can happen in the business.
