What's the story?
After reportedly confirming his hiatus from the WWE, former World Champion, Dolph Ziggler's current status with WWE has now seemingly been confirmed in a recent edition of The Wrestling Observer.
In case you didn't know...
While recently speaking with Chris Van Vliet, former WWE World Champion, Dolph Ziggler stated that he has decided to take some time off from the WWE following his Steel Cage Match defeat to Drew McIntyre on the final episode of Raw in 2018.

Ziggler noted that while he was ready to step away from the WWE for a while, 'The Showoff' has also been seemingly interested in signing for the newly inaugurated All Elite Wrestling promotion.
The heart of the matter
With several WWE stars reportedly set to leave the company within the next few months, including the likes of former WWE Champion, Dean Ambrose and 205 Live star Hideo Itami, Dolph Ziggler, who despite all the back-and-forth teasing, has reportedly signed another new deal with the WWE.
In a recent report from Bryan Alvarez of The Wrestling Observer Radio, it was noted that Ziggler had re-signed with the WWE and will not be stepping away from the company anytime soon. And that would also explain Ziggler's return at the Royal Rumble. (H/T: Wrestling News)
Alvarez stated the following:
“I don’t know what’s up with Dolph but he did re-sign in the Fall so he’s not going anywhere unless they give him a release, which I doubt.”
What's next?
With Dolph Ziggler making his return to in-ring competition at the Royal Rumble, expect 'The Showoff' to make his comeback on Monday Night Raw within the next few weeks. With WrestleMania 35 being just a few months away, the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion could very well make his return for another long-term feud with a well-renowned superstar.
