The general manager of Monday Night Raw, Mick Foley, was recently interviewed by Tim Kail on The Work of Wrestling Podcast. During the interview, Foley was focused on WWE women's division and talked openly about it.
When asked if he was pleased with the progress of women's division, Foley replied positively and talked how the victory of Sasha Banks was monumental.
He said:
"I am. There were definitely some bumps in the road. I think we can expect some more. But I think the victory for Sasha was really monumental, like a seismic shift. Hopefully, we will be seeing it as a statement. The victory in a way was a victory for the underdogs and people have been told they were not good enough, cool enough, strong enough"
The former WWE wrestler also praised the former Women's champion Charlotte saying that he is proud of her everyday growth as the champion:
"Charlotte's really found herself as this champion and has this ability/potential now to grow without the championship title. Some of her expressions in that title match were incredible I made sure I reached out to Charlotte after the match (Charlotte vs Sasha Banks) and told her how proud I was with her growth every week as the champion"
Along with this, the former world champion also talked about his Facebook post regarding the Women's championship match on Raw and revealed that he is writing another facebook post explaining Banks' character.
