The Miz defended his Intercontinental title against Seth Rollins and Finn Balor at WrestleMania. He was unable to retain his Championship, as Seth Rollins picked up the win and became the new Intercontinental Champion.
The heart of the matter
Sal Vulcano and Brian Quinn were being asked their opinion of the Intercontinental Match and The Miz backstage in an interview. While Brian said that he felt that he would like to see the Miz win using cheating methods, Sal said he felt that Finn Balor was the likely candidate.
The Miz was nearby and heard these comments, confronting them. He said that he could not believe what he had heard them say, as he had turned over a new leaf after becoming a dad and did not cheat anymore.
The two then said that they wanted to be a part of the Miztourage. Miz asked Sal whether he would be a part of the Balor Club if Finn Balor was there, to which Sal replied that he would not while asking whether Finn was there or not.
Miz dismissed them, saying that they were done and did not need their help to cheat and win, before heading off to defend his title.
After he had left, Sal said he still felt that Finn would win, while Brian said he was sure the Miz would still cheat.
