What's the story?
Raw 25 is about to be ballin' as MVP has been added to the list of legends appearing at the 25th Anniversary of Monday Night Raw in what, I'm sure many people will agree, is one of the biggest surprise announcements so far.
In case you didn't know...
Big things were expected from MVP during his time in the WWE but he never quite managed to live up to the main event potential the company clearly saw in him, eventually leaving WWE in December 2010.

The heart of the matter
If you'd asked me to name a bunch of surprise returns for the Raw 25th Anniversary show I don't think I'd have ever correctly guessed MVP, but here we are with the former WWE Superstar making his way back for the impressive show.
MVP isn't the only new name to be added to the list of legends returning to WWE with William Regal, Harvey Wippleman and Howard Finkel, but lets all be honest here, MVP's return is huge.
Jonathan Coachman and Lillian Garcia have also been confirmed in the WWE's updated list after we reported on their additions to the event earlier. Other names newly announced are Jeff Hardy and Mark Henry.
What's next?
Raw's 25th Anniversary show is just around the corner and despite there being a ton of announcements of who will be appearing at the show, it's unclear what the likes of MVP, William Regal, Stone Cold Steve Austin, or The Undertaker will actually be doing at the show. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Author's take
I'm honestly a little taken aback by this revelation. MVP returning to the WWE after a seven-year hiatus is a real surprise albeit a sweet one. I never thought I'd see the day, but here we are.
