What’s the story?
WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Natalya has taken to social media to fire back at her on-screen rivals after a few of them resorted to branding Nattie a ‘Crazy Cat Lady’.
Be it Naomi or Lana, Natalya’s fellow SmackDown Superstars have threw shade at the latter’s love cats, insinuating that the blue brand’s Women’s Champion is indeed a maniacal lady whose only socialization is her relationship with her cats.
On that note, Natalya objected to being called names of the sort and doubled down by vowing to remain SmackDown Women’s Champion forever.
In case you didn’t know…
Natalya, whose real name is Natalie Neidhart, has competed in the sport of professional wrestling since 2000 and has worked for the WWE since 2007.
Her love for cats has come to the fore on WWE's reality show Total Divas.
The heart of the matter
Natalya has often found herself on the receiving end of mockery directed towards her apparent love for the feline creatures; and on that note, she was once again teased for her cat connection on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live.
Nevertheless, Nattie seems to be taking the comments in her stride, and hit back at her critics; stating:
“I am NOT a crazy cat lady! But I will be your #SDlive Women's Champion forever. And ever.”
What’s next?
Natalya is set to defend her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair at the blue brand’s upcoming Hell In A Cell PPV.
Author’s take:
Natalya truly is one of a kind, isn’t she? There aren’t many crazy cat ladies out there who can claim to be one of the best women to ever lace up a pair of boots in the wrestling business.
One of the most hard-working people in the business, it’s only recently that Natalya been getting the credit she deserves.
