Neville’s injury was the bad news that came on the heels of RAW, and WWE also confirmed the news of the man that gravity forgot, had indeed hurt himself in his match against Chris Jericho. The injury stemmed from an attempted baseball slide by Neville mid-match, who tweaked his ankle in a very unusual way while executing the spot.
“Neville sustained a left ankle injury on a baseball slide during his match with Chris Jericho. Initial X-rays reveal a fracture of the ankle. He will undergo further imaging today to determine the extent of the fracture and to determine if surgery will be necessary,” WWE’s Dr. Chris Amann revealed on the WWE website.
Wrestling Observer added that Neville may have suffered a broken ankle and shinbone, which may keep him on the sidelines of the grandest pay-per-view on the WWE calendar, WrestleMania 32. Neville was said to be booked in a multi-man match against Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and the rest of the roster for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
