WWE News: Paige and Alberto El Patron robbed

WWE Superstar Paige was recently a victim of an apparent robbery after her wedding ring was stolen from her hotel room. The room that was reportedly shared by Paige and Alberto Del Rio aka Alberto El Patron, was burgled and the 24-year old British star’s prized-possession gone.

Paige (Saraya-Jade Bevis) has worked with WWE in its developmental territories since 2011, and rose to prominence after her main-roster debut in 2014. She is a former NXT Women’s champion and 2-time WWE Divas champ. Following her engagement to Alberto El Patron (Jose Rodriguez) last year, the pro-wrestling couple apparently got secretly hitched, as evidenced by Paige time-and-again referring to Alberto as her husband.

Paige is still under contract with WWE however, has made prominent appearances at WAW wrestling events – a promotion that’s owned by her family namely her mother Saraya (Julia Hamer-Bevis) and Ricky Knight (Patrick Bevis). Besides appearing on the WWE-based E! reality-show reality-show Total Divas, Paige will also be portrayed in a Hollywood movie by popular actress Florence Pugh, in Fighting with my Family – a film that’s being produced in part by WWE Studios with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as the executive producer.

As a longtime fan of the youngster, forgive me if I sound a bit biased here, but I truly feel that Paige ought to be back inside the WWE ring. Granted that she is, apparently, yet to be cleared for competition following her neck injury last year, however, the WWE can most definitely use her as a manager/valet in its on-screen programming for now.

The ongoing issues between her husband and WWE management notwithstanding, I hope the Anti-Diva returns to the company that made her the star that she is.
