In a recent interview with Paste Magazine, Brock Lesnar’s on-screen advocate Paul Heyman, spoke about former WWE Champion CM Punk not getting a WrestleMania main event, the crowd at atmosphere at WrestleMania and more.

In case you didn’t know…

During his stint with the WWE, CM Punk had a brief on-screen relationship with Paul Heyman, who seemingly became the on-screen manager for Punk during his tenure as WWE Champion.

However, after a short run-up together as a pair, Punk and Heyman eventually parted ways on TV, when the latter betrayed 'The Second City Saint' at the 2013 Money in the Bank pay-per-view.

The heart of the matter

During his exclusive interview with Paste Magazine, Paul Heyman spoke about a host of wrestling related topics and below are the highlights from the interview: (H/T: WrestlingInc)

Paul Heyman claimed that he currently isn’t sure what the make-up of the audience in New Orleans is going to be like at WrestleMania. But, he does have a feeling that there's going to be a lot of different styles represented by its fanbase, all converging at the same time.

“I'm never of the opinion that anybody who desires a certain style is wrong for wanting that. There are people who like a certain style, and people who like another style. People who like this presentation and hate vehemently that presentation. You're never going to get 100% on the same page with a global crowd. It's always going to be a diverse set of opinions, which I like."

According to Heyman, he believes that his opinion regarding this matter doesn’t really matter, and what matters the most is what Phil Brooks (CM Punk), thinks regarding this whole situation of him being worthy enough of main eventing WWE’s flagship event, that is, WrestleMania.

“If in Phil Brooks's heart he is a righteous man by saying, 'I want the WrestleMania main event, I earned the WrestleMania main event, I feel that is my destiny, or there is nothing for me to pursue'—if he feels that he is a righteous man by saying, 'now that I understand that there is nothing left to pursue, so I'm out'—then he is a righteous man. If Phil Brooks doesn't think it was righteous for him to do it, then he's not a righteous man. But it's not for me to judge Phil Brooks as to what is right or wrong or whether he feels justified or not."

Paul Heyman will accompany Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans when 'The Beast Incarnate' gets set to defend his WWE Universal Title against Roman Reigns.

Personally, I think that CM Punk did deserve a spot in the main event of WrestleMania, especially considering his historic 434-day WWE Title run.
