WWE News: Potential spoiler for WWE Payback 2017

A potential spoiler for this Sunday’s Payback PPV has been revealed.

What’s the story?

A major spoiler for WWE’s upcoming Payback pay-per-view has been revealed confirming that Chris Jericho will indeed lose to Kevin Owens at the April 30th PPV event.

In case you didn’t know...

Chris Jericho, whose real name is Christopher Irvine, is a 27-year veteran of the professional wrestling industry and has been a WWE mainstay for about 2 decades. Besides his pro-wrestling accomplishments, Jericho is also a professional musician and the lead singer of his heavy metal band Fozzy.

The heart of the matter

Fozzy has recently released a teaser for their new song ‘Judas’ that will be available to fans on May 2nd. Besides, the music group helmed by Y2J has announced the dates for its summer tour that starts on May 5th in Virginia and concludes on June 24th in Seattle.

The 46-year old Jericho will be touring the US with his band and won’t be competing for WWE until the completion of his musical obligations in June. This, in turn, has led to several pro-wrestling experts stating that Y2J will come up short in his bid against Kevin Owens, in order to put Owens ‘over’, at the upcoming Payback pay-per-view this April 30th.

What’s next?

Chris Jericho will face Kevin Owens for the latter’s WWE United States title on April 30th at Payback. He’ll reportedly take a leave of absence from the squared circle after Payback and fans can expect him to make his WWE return after June 24th.

Author’s take

The WWE would be right in booking the outgoing Jericho to lose and ‘put over’ Owens – a booking through which the company can provide an even bigger boost to KO’s career following his signature win over Y2J at Wrestlemania 33.

And if you haven’t heard Fozzy, trust me, give it a try. Jericho is a genuine talent not only in the sport of professional wrestling but also in the highly competitive music business. After all, he is The Ayatollah of Rock ‘n’ Rolla. Cheer him on maaannn!!!
