What's the story?
WWE just dropped a massive announcement regarding the next Saudi Arabia show, which is scheduled to take place on June 7th, 2019.
The company have confirmed that Randy Orton will be taking on Triple H at the event, which has been named WWE Super ShowDown. Sounds familiar, right?
In case you didn't know...
WWE Super ShowDown was the name of the PPV event organized by Vince McMahon and co. in October last year at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Melbourne, Australia.
While there were rumours going around that WWE could name the upcoming Saudi Arabia show 'Sands of Time', a lack of creativity has prevailed and the company will be going ahead with the second edition of Super ShowDown.
The last time Triple H faced Randy Orton in singles competition was way back in March 2010 on an episode of Raw, in which The Game came out victorious via DQ.
Why Orton vs. HHH though?
The heart of the matter
WWE is known to break the rules as well as the existing flow of storylines when it comes to the highly-publicized event in Saudi Arabia.
The last event, WWE Crown Jewel, had a first-time-ever main event featuring the Brothers of Destruction vs. D-Generation X.
WWE's lucrative 10-year deal with the General Sports Authority of Saudi Arabia means that they have to put up a card that is filled with proven veterans that can draw big numbers.
Vince McMahon and his creative team are surely taking it up a notch this time around as Triple H will face Randy Orton for the first time in nine years in a one-on-one match.
While the hardcore fans may call it a snoozefest, the fans in Saudi Arabia will surely be licking their lips at the thought of witnessing the two former Evolution members battle it out once again.
What's next?
WWE Super ShowDown will emanate from the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on June 7th, 2019. WWE also announced a few other big matches, including Goldberg vs. The Undertaker for the show as well as some important details that the fans should know about.
