The WWE has now put forth an article on its official website asserting that Ruby Riott has successfully undergone surgery on her right shoulder.
Additionally, the article posted by WWE also noted that Riott will undergo a similar surgery on her left shoulder in the days to come.

Ruby Riott has competed in the sport of professional wrestling since 2010, and has worked for the WWE since 2016.

The talented performer rose to prominence as the leader of "The Riott Squad" alongside Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan, however, the team was recently broken up during this year's post-WrestleMania Superstar Shake-Up.
Morgan was drafted from Monday Night RAW to the SmackDown Live brand, whereas Logan and Riott are currently members of the RAW roster.
The heart of the matter
Ruby Riott has been away from active in-ring competition for quite some time now, owing to a few injury issues that she has unfortunately been faced with.
Regardless, Riott has now taken to her official social media account, so as to post a photograph of herself on a hospital bed, with a sling over her right shoulder. The photo's caption read -- "One down, one to go!"
On that note, the WWE has posted an article on its official website, addressing the same, and has explained that Riott underwent surgery on her right shoulder due to a bilateral shoulder injury.
Furthermore, it was also emphasized that Riott will undergo a similar surgery on her left shoulder "at a later date". Fans can check out the photograph below --
What's next?
Per general medical guidelines, athletes require around 6 months in order to fully recover from a shoulder surgery.
