The blue brand’s General Manager Paige did not appear on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live.
That, in turn, has set the professional wrestling community abuzz regarding speculation as to why Paige wasn’t a part of the show—particularly in light of her recently being featured prominently in her new GM role. Regardless, Paige has seemingly clarified the situation by way of social media.

Paige, whose real name is Saraya-Jade Bevis, is considered to be one of the greatest professional wrestlers from the United Kingdom.

After suffering a serious neck injury at the hands of Sasha Banks in late-2017, Paige recently announced her retirement from in-ring competition.
The heart of the matter
The WWE subsequently accorded Paige the opportunity to essay the on-screen role of SmackDown Live’s General Manager.
Nevertheless, after appearing with much fanfare on the past couple of SmackDown Live episodes, Paige was conspicuously absent from this week’s show—with the only notable mention she received this week, being in Daniel Bryan’s backstage segment.

The vast majority of professional wrestling experts believe that Paige is set to be prominently featured as the General Manager on SmackDown Live in the weeks to come.

Paige truly is one of the most charismatic personalities to have ever graced the professional wrestling ring—a genuine human on the inside, and a true workhorse on the outside.
Given the hectic road schedule, the WWE Superstars endure in order to entertain fans the world over, it’s only fair that our favorite Superstars take some time to rest & recover.
