The latest episode of “The Ric Flair Show”, hosted by two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, was an interesting one. The Nature Boy booked his fantasy card for WrestleMania 33 and booked Charlotte in a match against former UFC Bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey.
Speaking highly of his daughter, Flair said that over the past one year, Charlotte has established herself as a bonafide Superstar and that she would definitely feature on the main card for the biggest WWE event of the year.
The Nature Boy was quoted as saying that a match between Charlotte and Ronda Rousey would sell out seats and the grandest stage of them all would be the perfect setting. Here’s what he said:
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
“I know she (Charlotte) will be in the main event somewhere, and I think they can make that work, but as you and I both know, Ronda has to win, I just know that Charlotte will be in the main event somewhere.”
Ric said that he was greatly impressed by Ronda’s segment at WrestleMania 31, alongside the likes of established Superstars, such as The Rock and Triple H. Flair pointed out that Rousey was able to hold her own inside the ring and got over with the crowd immediately.
He was optimistic about the fact that Ronda Rousey might feature on the card for WrestleMania 33, next year in Orlando.
Flair returned to WWE programming last week when he made his way down to the ring in Charlotte, North Carolina to endorse Sasha Banks as the new WWE RAW Women’s Champion.
This past Monday, Ric Flair again stepped into the squared circle for a segment with Charlotte, where ‘The Queen’ faked an apology to her father, only to attack the women’s champion, Sasha Banks.
WWE has been lobbying to get Ronda Rousey to sign with the company. There are several rumours that indicate that Ronda might retire from MMA soon. With that in mind, Stephanie McMahon, in an interview with TMZ recently revealed that WWE wanted Rousey to join the camp.
