What's the story?
It's been nearly five months since Roman Reigns was forced to vacate the WWE Universal Championship due to his returning leukemia. Since then, reports have been few and far between about his recovery. Now, it looks Reigns himself will be addressing the situation directly himself - and he'll be doing it this Monday.
In case you didn't know...
Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam on August 19, 2018, after coming up short in two previous matches (three, if you count WrestleMania 31). Nearly three months later, however, Reigns revealed on the October 22nd episode of Raw that the leukemia he had recovered from earlier in his life had returned. He was forced to vacate the title in order to focus on his health.

Since then, there hasn't been any official word on Reigns' recovery, although he has occasionally been seen in public, as well as taking on some small acting roles.
The heart of the matter
This afternoon, word came down that Reigns would be giving the world an update on his health. And that word came down from the ultimate authority himself - Vince McMahon, via his Twitter account.
".@WWERomanReigns (aka Joe Anoa'i) will address the status of his fight with leukemia this Monday on Raw. #fighter #proud #classy"
What's next?
What's interesting about this announcement is the source. Things of this nature would usually be sent out via WWE's own Twitter account - or, if it involves a particular performer, like in this instance - via that performer's own account. Instead, Vince McMahon himself made the announcement. Hopefully, this means good news.
Chances are, we'll know right away, as a situation like this will more than likely open the show.
What do you guys think the news is? Is he cancer-free? Is he ready to come back? And, if so, will it be in time for WrestleMania? Head on down to the comments and share your thoughts with the rest of us!
