Two days after the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, WWE announced that the former World Champion Roman Reigns has been suspended from the company due to his first violation of WWE’s Wellness policy.
As a result, he was pulled out of several live events and it was noted earlier that due to his suspension, Roman Reigns will not be appearing on television. His first on-air appearance after this incident will be at upcoming Battleground pay-per-view, on Sunday, July 24th, where he will face the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins in a triple threat match, for the Championship.
Wrestlinginc.com reports that Reigns will have his actual in-ring return the night before Battleground at the WWE Live Event at the Wildwoods Convention Center in Wildwood, NJ on Saturday, July 23.
Just before the announcement of the suspension, Roman was announced to face his brethren at the PPV. Several fans speculated that Reigns may get removed from the Triple Threat match or he may get replaced by any other wrestler. But WWE stuck to their plans.
After this week’s edition of RAW, it is almost confirmed that Roman will be in the Championship match at Battleground. A rumour has been circulating via the social medias and it hints that ‘The Guy’ won’t be given another championship victory at the pay-per-view.
