'Rowdy' Ronda Rousey ready to swerve the WWE Universe

What’s the story?

Ronda Rousey has posted a photograph and a video of herself after landing in Colombia.

Although Rousey has posted proof of her supposedly in Colombia for a movie shoot, the professional wrestling community has been speculating as to whether this is all a ruse to appear in the Royal Rumble as a surprise entrant.

In case you didn’t know…

‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey is one of the highest-grossing stars in combat sports history, and considered to be a Women’s MMA pioneer.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Rousey lost her UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship to Holly Holm in 2015, and suffered another loss in late 2016 to current champ Amanda Nunes. UFC President Dana White has since asserted that Rousey may be done with the sport of MMA.

The heart of the matter

The vast majority of professional wrestling experts believe that Ronda Rousey is set to make her debut as a WWE Superstar in the Women’s Royal Rumble Match this weekend.

TMZ recently caught up with Rousey and probed her as to whether she’d partake in the Royal Rumble, in response to which the latter revealed that she’s flying to Colombia in order to finish off shooting for the movie ‘Mile 22’.

Nevertheless, several fans and experts alike have been discussing the possibility of Rousey’s movie shoot in Colombia being a ruse, so as to ensure that her Royal Rumble appearance remains a secret until the very last moment—

What’s next?

The historic All-Women’s Royal Rumble Match is scheduled for the WWE’s Royal Rumble PPV that takes place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 28th.

For those unaware, a trip between Colombia and Philadelphia takes about 5 hours by air, which indicates that Rousey could very well make it to the event without it being a long trip.

Author’s take

Ronda Rousey is one of the most charismatic sportspersons to have ever walked the face of the earth.

Her debuting at the historic Women’s Royal Rumble makes all the sense in the world, and it’d be an error on the WWE’s part if they don’t have her participate in this huge matchup.
