When Ronda Rousey showed up to close out the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, the world of wrestling and mainstream media went into meltdown.
With the former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion not appearing on WWE since then, there had been a lot of speculation about when "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey would make her return.
Well, all has been revealed!
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
It looks like we won't need to wait too long to find out WWE's plans for Ronda Rousey as she'll be appearing at WWE's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view on February 25th to sign her contract -- the very same night that the WWE Raw Women's Championship will be contested in the first-ever women's Elimination Chamber Match!
There had been a lot of talk around who Ronda Rousey's opponent would be for WrestleMania, with the most favourable options looking like Charlotte for the SmackDown Women's Championship or a mixed tag match against Stephanie McMahon and Triple H - possibly alongside one Braun Strowman.
Well, the Charlotte match looks off the table as Rousey will be signing to the red brand! The announcement also pretty much confirms what had been said about the former UFC star being signed to a full-time multi-year deal, with Triple H saying:
She wants to be in the DNA of the company and wants to make this her life now.
Kurt Angle's announcement has dropped a bombshell on the Women's Division. The Elimination Chamber already looks monumental for the Women's Division with Alexa Bliss defending her title in the chamber against Sasha Banks, Bayley, Mickie James, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville, with Nia Jax going up against the Royal Rumble winner and number one contender for the RAW Women's Championship at WrestleMania.
Where will Ronda Rousey fit in? I guess we won't need to wait too long to find out.
