#3 Samoa Joe reveals what Vince McMahon actually thinks about WWE NXT
Samoa Joe went from being released by WWE to returning and winning a championship within five months. Last weekend, he defeated Karrion Kross to become the NXT Champion for the third time. Joe recently revealed Vince McMahon’s honest opinion about the Black and Gold brand, insisting that he sees NXT as the future of the promotion.
“I think he perceives it as the future of his company. I think that he’s heavily invested in it. It’s funny, you know, I read all this stuff that I hear from people. At the same time, he’s probably the biggest proponent of its existence, and much of what has happened in it thus far. NXT - it’s the future of WWE, and it’s a big reason why I’m excited to be kind of associated with it. Because I get to delve into the future,” said Samoa Joe.
Joe initially returned on NXT as William Regal’s “special enforcer” but soon returned to in-ring action. He is now expected to engage in title feuds with the likes of Kyle O’Reilly and Pete Dunne. On the other hand, Karrion Kross is now officially on the main roster. Unfortunately, he still doesn’t have Scarlett by his side.
