#1 WWE reveals the name of the first pay-per-view in 2022

WWE has revealed the name and other details of their first pay-per-view in 2022. The show has been named “WWE Day 1” and is scheduled to take place on January 1st. This is also the first time in six years that the company will head to Atlanta for a pay-per-view.

The city last hosted the 2015 edition of Survivor Series pay-per-view. It's also confirmed that SmackDown before "Day 1", this year's last show, will take place in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The tickets for "Day 1" are scheduled to go on sale this Friday, 27th August. Like SummerSlam 2021, the promotion is set to kickstart next year with a Saturday night pay-per-view. It is interesting to note that Royal Rumble is usually scheduled for January.

The latest reports in Fightful have suggested that the first of the company's Big Four annual pay-per-views might get moved to February owing to the NFL season. However, nothing has been confirmed as of this writing.

So far, WWE has advertised Roman Reigns, Bianca Belair, Drew McIntyre, Sasha Banks, and other top superstars for the “Day 1” pay-per-view.
