#4 Kurt Angle hails WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio as "once-in-a-generation wrestler"
WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio made history at WrestleMania 37 when he won the SmackDown Tag Team Championships alongside his son. In the process, they became the first father-son duo to win tag team titles in WWE history. Currently, Mysterio is still one of the best performers across both brands.
WWE legend Kurt Angle recently spoke about Rey Mysterio and hailed him as a once-in-a-generation wrestler. Angle applauded Mysterio's in-ring capabilities and his connection with the fans. Here’s what Kurt Angle had to say:
"Well, Rey was a once-in-a-generation wrestler. I mean, the kid is unbelievable. What he is able to do in that ring, you know, he is able to suspend the fans' belief. He is 145 pounds, and he can beat 300-pound heavyweights. He has a connection with the fans like no other. He is a very special talent. You will not see another Rey Mysterio in this lifetime. He is that special.”
Last week on WWE SmackDown, Rey Mysterio confronted Roman Reigns about the latter's brutal attack on Dominik. This led to a big Universal Championship match being booked between the two Superstars at Hell In A Cell pay-per-view. The segment also ended with Roman Reigns beating the living daylights out of the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions as he looked to assert his dominance.
