WWE Superstar Edge had an epic start to 2021. He won the Royal Rumble against all odds and went on to headline WrestleMania 37. The Rated-R Superstar went off television after the match.
According to the latest backstage reports, WWE is planning to bring back Edge at SummerSlam 2021. However, the creative team doesn't have anything concrete planned for him at the moment. Here's what the reports say:
''There are also to be other returns with the idea of SummerSlam being a WrestleMania-level show. Since Edge is billed to return on the Houston Smackdown, and there is talk about bringing back big names, him wrestling at SummerSlam seems to add up."
Edge last appeared at WrestleMania 37 in a triple threat match against Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan for the WWE Universal Championship. He had turned heel in the weeks leading up to the match, and it remains to be seen if he will continue with the same intense gimmick upon his return.
Since the live crowd will be back for SummerSlam, WWE is planning an unforgettable event with massive superstars such as Edge and John Cena slated for a return.
