#1. William Regal receives an offer to join IMPACT Wrestling
NXT faithful are still reeling from the shocking departure of William Regal as the former GM was integrel to the rise of the brand. He was released after a 21-year run in WWE, and had amassed an extensive list of admirers during his time in the company.
Regal is one of the most respected names in the entire business, and it's not surprising that he has already received a significant offer. IMPACT Wrestling Producer Tommy Dreamer revealed on Busted Open Radio that he had sent a text message to William Regal regarding signing a contract.
Dreamer said IMPACT would love to have Regal on board and pitched a few possible roles for the former NXT authority figure:
"Regal, the moment I heard (he was let go), I shot him a text and said, 'If you want to be a commentator at Impact or if you want to be a General Manager figure, just let me know.' He will have something when he chooses to," revealed Tommy Dreamer.
William Regal never worked for TNA/IMPACT Wrestling as he spent most of his career in WWE. However, the opportunity has now presented itself, and it will be interesting to see if Regal considers working with IMPACT.
