Welcome back to another edition of WWE News Roundup, where we try to cover all the major stories making the rounds in the world of the sports entertainment juggernaut. In today's article, we will look at topics involving Rhea Ripley and CM Punk, among others.

Also, in one of the biggest news stories of the day, a Hall of Famer announced that he would be returning to the squared circle after over 700 days. So without any further delay, let's check it out.

#1 Dominik Mysterio costs CM Punk at WWE Live event

CM Punk was in action at the company's latest house show in Chicago, where he challenged Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship. The Best in the World ended up losing the match due to interference from Dominik Mysterio, who slammed the cage door on him.

A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.

Punk was also active on the previous house shows that took place on the company's recently concluded Holiday Tour. He will face Seth Rollins in a singles match on the January 6 edition of RAW.

#2 Rhea Ripley reacts to her non-PG moment at recent WWE Live event

Rhea Ripley often displays her goofier side during house shows, and the same was the case at the company's ongoing Holiday Tour. The former Women's World Champion twerked alongside Bianca Belair and Naomi after their win over the Pure Fusion Collective on the Chicago show.

After the viral moment, she was given a new nickname by Naomi. Ripley reacted to the same with the tweet below.

Rhea Ripley has a major singles match coming up as she will be challenging Liv Morgan for the Women's World Championship on RAW's Netflix premiere.

#3 WWE Hall of Famer set to make in-ring return

Over the years, we have seen multiple legends and veterans make their return to the squared circle for a one-off match or a brief run. Another name that is set to be added to the list is Booker T, as the WWE Hall of Famer announced his return to in-ring action. He will face Zilla Fatu on January 11, 2025.

Booker T is the founder of Reality of Wrestling, which also employs Zilla Fatu. The two will collide at the promotion's special event next year. The legend's last bout came at Royal Rumble 2023 on January 28.
