Welcome to the last WWE News Roundup for the year 2023. In today's piece, we will look at topics revolving around Becky Lynch and Randy Orton, among others.
We will also check out the results of Monday Night RAW as the final episode of the red brand on the USA Network took place last night. The flagship show will air on Netflix beginning next week, marking the start of a new era. So without any further delay, let's begin:
#1. WWE RAW results
The build-up for the Monday Night RAW's debut on Netflix continued on the red brand as CM Punk and Seth Rollins were involved in a heated exchange of words while Solo Sikoa delivered a message to Roman Reigns. We also saw Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan share their thoughts on the upcoming match between them while Finn Balor and Damian Priest were involved in another brawl, setting up a future match between the two.
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
Here are the complete results from the show:
- Chad Gable def. Otis
- Dakota Kai def. Zoey Stark
- Damian Priest & The War Raiders def. The Judgment Day
- Lyra Valkyria def. IYO SKY
#2. Seth Rollins takes a shot at CM Punk after he mentions Becky Lynch
CM Punk and Seth Rollins went personal on RAW during their war of words. The Best in the World brought up Becky Lynch as well, asking the Visionary if his wife took his balls and ran home with him. However, the former Universal Champion did not hold back in his response, stating that Lynch is raising a kid at home, something CM Punk can't relate to:
"My wife is at home raising a kid, but you wouldn't know anything about it," Rollins said.
The promo war between the two also saw Seth Rollins reference Punk's time in AEW and his real-life differences with Colt Cabana. The two men will get a chance to settle their differences inside the squared circle next week as RAW will make its debut on Netflix.
#3. Update on Randy Orton's potential return date
Randy Orton has been away from WWE programming since getting taken out by Kevin Owens a few months back. While there is no exact date for his return, WrestleVotes noted on Backstage Pass that he expects the 10-time WWE Champion to show up at Royal Rumble or sometime before the event:
"By the Royal Rumble, you know, if not on February 1st, it'll be beforehand. So yeah, very soon." [28:33 onwards]
Randy Orton tried to play the role of a peacemaker between Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes. However, the Legend Killer ended up facing the wrath of the Prizefighter.
#4. WWE Analyst believes that Triple H will never wrestle again
When it comes to pro wrestling, multiple legends, and notable names have made their return to the squared circle even after suffering career-threatening injuries. However, analyst Sam Roberts believes that won't be the case with Triple H who retired from in-ring competition due to heart issues:
"I don't think so. I mean, yeah I just think with Triple H's health issues that he went through at one point, I think I mean who's to say, but doesn't seem like he's ever coming back," Roberts said.
Triple H was last seen in action in 2019. He is currently the head of the WWE's creative department.
