Greetings and welcome to yet another edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's WWE News Roundup. Today, we will cover some exciting topics related to top names like former WWE Champion Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa and Kofi Kingston.
Solo Sikoa pinned Cody Rhodes at Money in the Bank, making may believe that he is next in line to face the Undisputed Champion for his title. There is a belief that Sikoa vs Rhodes will take place at SummerSlam. The key question in everyone's mind is when Roman Reigns will return and take retribution for Sikoa declaring himself as the new Tribal Chief.
1) Roman Reigns to return after Solo Sikoa defeats Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship?
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Wrestling analyst Sam Roberts suggested that Roman Reigns might appear immediately after Cody Rhodes loses his title to Solo Sikoa. Roberts believes that a title change could stir things up on SmackDown, and Rhodes could always reclaim the title later on.
''Maybe something happens, but like we think we're going to get Roman [Reigns] at the end of SummerSlam, but the reason it goes on last is because Solo Sikoa wins the WWE Championship and The Bloodline stands strong. I mean, it's possible. Cody can always win it back, right? Just to mix things up," he added.
Sikoa has formed his own Bloodline and even attacked Paul Heyman after the Hall of Famer refused to acknowledge him as the Tribal Chief. It is believed that Reigns well finally make his return at SummerSlam and kick off his feud with the New Bloodline being led by Sikoa.
2) Bad news regarding Kofi Kingston
This week on RAW, Michael Cole revealed that former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston has suffered an AC joint sprain following Karrion Kross' attack last week. It was revealed that he would be out of action for several weeks as a result. The Final Testament has been targeting The New Day for the past few weeks.
While Xavier Woods managed to defeat Kross last week, his tag team partner Kingston had to suffer the brunt as he faced a brutal attack at the hands of the former NXT Champion. Kross has been trying his best to split up Woods and Kingston. It looks like he has moved one step closer to achieving his objective by taking Kingston out of the picture.
3) Damon Kemp has been let go by the company and written off
Damon Kemp revealed that he has been let go by WWE. Multiple reports have also stated that the 25-year-old is out of the company. Kemp is the older brother of Gable Steveson who was also let go by the company earlier this year. This week on NXT, Kemp was written off television when Charley Dempsey and the No Quarter Catch Crew kicked him out of the faction.
Dempsey offered Tavon Heights a spot in his group if he could defeat Damon Kemp. Once Heights accomplished this, it was clear what would happen next. Dempsey has fully embraced his Tony D persona, even going so far as to put Damon Kemp in the trunk of a car, declaring, "Mistakes will not be tolerated." This was essentially a way to write Kemp off NXT.
