Welcome back to the October 21, edition of the WWE News and Rumor Roundup. In today's piece, we will cover exciting stories revolving around Drew McIntyre and Paul Heyman, among other top news and gossip of the last 24 hours.
Also, a veteran wrestler has announced his retirement from in-ring competition to focus on family. So without any further delay, let's begin.
#4. Analyst on Brock Lesnar references on RAW
Brock Lesnar has been away from WWE programming for over a year, with the company distancing itself from The Beast Incarnate after he was seemingly referenced in the lawsuit against Vince McMahon. However, Lesnar was referenced twice on RAW last week and many believe this could lead to his return.

Analyst Sam Roberts shared his thoughts on the same during his recent podcast:
"I don't think this is the first reference to Brock Lesnar that's been on television since January. Well, look, I don't think that the reference itself is evidence of an imminent return. I don't know if he's gonna return or not, but I don't think that them making reference to him is evidence of that in any way shape, or form," Roberts said.
#3. Update on Drew McIntyre
Drew McIntyre is nowhere to be seen since his loss to CM Punk at Bad Blood. The Scottish Warrior suffered a legit injury during the match as he was busted open, following which it was noted that he will be on the sidelines for a while.
PWInisder provided an update on the star's status, noting that McIntyre would have to be cleared by WWE's medical team after the 16 staples he had to receive due to his head injury and his return is unlikely to take place till mid-November.
#2. Paul Heyman's WWE return discussed
Paul Heyman has been on the sidelines for the last few months, following an attack from The Bloodline. While Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso are now back, there is still no word on The Wiseman's return.
Analyst Sam Roberts discussed the legendary manager's return, noting that he could come after The OTC suffers a major setback in his feud against Solo Sikoa and Co.
"Well, we're on the road, as I said before, but the idea that he won't, that they will try to get it will, everything will be lined up for them to win, and they still lose. That, I think, is the moment that The Wiseman comes back. And maybe it is after WarGames. Maybe they lose WarGames and go, 'What are we missing?' 'Ladies and gentlemen,' and then The Wiseman comes back, and then they can win," he said.
While Paul Heyman has not appeared on WWE programming since the attack, he has been present backstage at multiple events.
#4. Veteran announces retirement at 47 years of age
Derrick King, who wrestled in WWE in 2000 and 2006, recently announced his retirement from in-ring competition. The veteran noted that he has a 17-year-old son and thus it is the right time for him to hang up his boots.
"There comes a time when life happens, and I think this is the best time. I've done this for a long time, I got to do everything. I have a seventeen-year-old son whom I adore the most. And I think that it is time for me to step away from actually wrestling."
King also noted that he has a few loose ends to tie up before he calls it a day.
